HP Instant Ink – Ink replacement service {Review}

Over the years I have owned a fair few printers, and the one thing, the only thing I never liked about owning one was having to buy the replacement ink cartridges. So when I was offered the chance to review the HP Instant ink replacement ink service, my inner tech got a little excited and I needed to find out more. What is HP Instant ink?  Basically, your printer orders your replacement ink for you, so you don’t have too. It is a monthly subscription service, it saves you up to 70% on ink and there is a range of different…

Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS, review

If you’re a kid of the 1980’s you’ll remember playing Mario on the classic Nintendo console; remember that little-pixelated guy? Well, he’s back! Super Mario Maker is a game that has me {at the age of 36} excited! The idea behind this game is to allow you the chance to create your own levels within the famous Mario game. How cool is that! This game was originally released back in 2015 for the Wii U but it’s now available for the Nintendo 3DS.  Super Mario Maker is a side-scrolling 2D platform video game with a near-endless amount of Mario courses…

First impressions of the Xbox One Minecraft bundle

Going back 15yrs {which makes me cringe to even think-back} I bought my first Xbox console. I had this shiny new console in front of me I was in my element. I drifted round corners on Colin McCrae or kicked some butt on Soul Caliber and it didn’t take long for me to adapt to the new controller either. Nor am I ashamed to be one of those rare and elusive ‘female gamers’. Fast forward fifteen years and I was recently asked to review an Xbox One Minecraft bundle which you can imagine got this household of gamers pretty excited. The one…

Mario Party: Star Rush Review {Nintendo 3DS}

I’m back with another great family game for the Nintendo 3DS family system, and that is Mario Party: Star Rush. This game is packed with over 50 mini-games {I love a good mini-game! They’re so addictive!}, loads of new modes {including frantic Toad Scramble} and the whole premise of Mario Party; Star Rush is that everyone is invited to play. Do you have four friends, each with their own 3DS Family system but only one copy of the Mario Party; Star Rush game? Fear not! With Mario Pary: Star Rush – Party Guest, which is available to download for free from the Nintendo…

Skylanders Imaginators Review

Earlier on in the year, my two middle children and I made the trip over to London to attend the Skylanders Blogger event with Activision. It was so much fun making t-shirts, enjoying the candy mountain in the middle of the room, playing other Skylander games and being lucky enough to get a glimpse at the latest Skylanders game to hit the shelves; Skylanders Imaginators.

Paper Mario, Colour Splash for the Nintendo Wii U

Like all of the other Mario games that we know and love, Paper Mario Colour splash is pretty different because imagine a land of Mario & friends made entirely of paper. The story begins on a dark stormy night when Mario receives a knock on his door and to his surprise, it’s Princess Peach. Princess Peach is pretty sad because she hands Mario a folded up piece of paper that appears to be a blank Toad, completely drained of colour. Once Mario notices that the blank toad was sent from Prism Island, they head off in search for the sender only…

Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice for the Nintendo 3DS, Review

Gaming is something of a passion of mine and I absolutely love having this amazing privilege to test out new games. In this post, I’m going to be sharing with you everything about Nintendos latest fast-action 2D platform game only for the 3DS systems: Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice. This game, for me personally, has a real mix of retro and modern aspects to it. Maybe that’s just me feeling a tad nostalgic when I play this game. But I love the graphics and Sonics ability to harness the powers of fire & ice, allowing him to overcome certain obstacles is…

Being given the #GiftofTime with Philips

As a Super Busy Mum {see what I did there?} 😉 it can be pretty hard getting to spend time with my family because nine times out of ten I am always doing something for someone, somewhere along the line. I would either be up to my eyes in laundry, dishes or other people’s squabbles; so when Philps got in touch recently to offer me the opportunity to review their Perfectcare Silence Steam generator iron, providing me with the #Giftoftime i.e. the chance to spend more time with my family, I leapt at the chance. I would have been crazy not…
