A girly week in the sun? Yes Please! {with a summer wear wish list, too!}

Summertime is getting closer and I cannot wait. Over the last few days, we’ve had sunshine – actual sunshine and it’s been lovely. We’ve been getting out to sort the back garden {which I’ll share more once it’s done}. And as we’ve shifted rubbish and unwanted things into bags for the dump I’ve been dreaming of my summer holiday. Next month, I will be jetting off, with some gorgeous friends of mine, to Cyprus. So instead of my usual shopping for the kid’s summer holiday clothes {which I am still doing} I also get to shop for myself {which I…

His & Her hoodies with Shirtbox | Review

At the end of a busy day, when you get into your pyjamas, I love to put on a hoody. The hoody is an item of clothing that I personally could not live without. Especially when they are slightly oversized. The Husband and I have collaborated with the lovely team at Shirtbox to review a few of their hoodies. Choosing what design to have on our hoodies was a task and a half because Shirtbox has such an extensive range.  All of the hoodies available from Shirtbox are suitable for both men and woman. This made choosing our hoodies somewhat…

Rockin’ my Mama style with Simply Be

I’ve never been any good at being ‘stylish’ – like, ever! I’ve always had that fallen-into-the-wardrobe-and-came-out-in-whatever-I-fell-into sort of look. And I think I rocked those looks pretty well – until I looked back at old photos and can do nothing but cringe at my fashion choices. Man, I made some monumentally bad choices. There was even a goth phase… As I’ve got older and accepted that my fashion sense is never going to be very good – I can’t help but admire my own determination to try! I’ve collaborated with Simply Be and was kindly given the opportunity to choose…

Salomon Walking Shoe Review with Millet Sports

As a Super Busy Mum, walking is something I do a lot of; from school runs, walks to parks etc. So opting for a comfortable walking shoe is something I think is really important. We only get one pair of feet, so it’s only fair to take care of them. Millet Sports recently got in touch & asked me if I would like to review something from their range of walking shoes. The range available is very good & chose a pair of Salomon X Ultra 2 GTX Women’s Walking Shoes to review.  Normally, I would opt for a walking boot…

For the love of Converse {a little wish list}

Us women love shoes, right? I may not be the girliest of girls but my love of shoes is still there. Sure, the shoes I love may not come with a 6in heel or an open toe but they do come with comfort & serious style points. Plus, they go with everything! One word for you; Converse. I love converse shoes. In fact, I have that many pairs I haven’t worn half of them in months because you know when you find your ‘favourite’ pair? Then you wear those shoes literally to death!? Yeah! I know you can relate. Let’s not…

My Spring look {& a mood board}

Spring is coming. Can you feel it? Little daffodils are beginning to peek up from the grass and trees are starting to blossom. It’s enough to make anyone excited because, after the dreadfully long Winter we all had, we need us some Spring-ness! I notice that my jumpers are coming out less & less and I am starting to look at my neglected tops, you know the ones you can wear without a coat, hat & scarf? I’ve even had a cheeky nosy online at what womenswear is out there because I can feel a little Mummy shopping spree in…

The perfect dress for a curvy gal {with Simply Be}

Dresses. They’re a ‘pretty girls’ item of clothing, or at least, that’s always been how I’ve envisioned them. Being a military man’s daughter I was practically raised in high leg boots & combat trousers; so dresses were never really me. The only day that I have ever looked forward to wearing a dress has been my Wedding day, and I loved my Wedding dress. So when SimplyBe got in touch offering me something to review from their wide range of womenswear I made myself a promise and that was to choose a dress if I saw one. Simply Be have…

My Wedding Dress

First of all the above photo is NOT my wedding dress! 😉 Also…I never thought I’d be saying this so soon but, in this last week, I had my final dress fitting for the wedding. I cannot tell you how fast this day has come round and it’s all been quite emotional, to say the least. To even think it’s just a few short weeks before we say our vows is also crazy. Which reminds me, I need to email our minister over said vows. Can’t be forgetting those, can I!? But, back to the dress. I bought my wedding…

My Boho Wishlist

As I’m heading to Sicily in July, my main fashion focus is aimed squarely at my holiday wardrobe. With nothing but days of rest and relaxation headed my way (which I sorely need after the hectic few weeks I’ve had), of course, I need the very best attire to match it, but where to start? Recently, I’ve found myself leading towards the boho style this summer. There are some stunning designs, patterns and accessories on the high street right now, so if you’d like to know my top four, keep reading! 1. The patterned maxi This is a staple summer-wardrobe…
