Hogwarts express ticket style party invitation {Templates included!}

It’s no surprise, that I love to organise my children’s parties. Recently, I shared a post here on the blog about planning my daughters 13th Harry Potter Birthday party and today? I’m sharing how I put together her Hogwarts express ticket style party invitation.  They were super simple to make and throughout this post, I’ll share with you where I found the templates I used for both the ticket and the envelope. As well as sharing where I found the extra bits to make the invitations magical.  First of all, as I’ve mentioned many times before, I absolutely love a…

Capture your own Cornish Pixie from Harry Potter | Tutorial

This June, my first daughter, my eldest daughter, turns thirteen. Which just blows my mind! The day Ellie was born was a beautiful one and now that she is almost an ‘official’ teenager is – I won’t lie – it makes me a little emotional. Since she was little I have always thrown her a themed birthday party. It’s something that I really love doing and this year she asked me for a Harry Potter birthday party. But, in pre-teen style, requesting just little hints of magic rather than full-blown Hogwarts! Again, I won’t lie, I may have caused a minor…

Annabelles Unicorn Rainbow birthday party

I have said this countless times both to myself & out loud over the last week. I cannot believe my youngest child is now five years old. The realisation of her growing up so quickly is quite emotional. It feels like only yesterday that she was a tiny, squishy baby and now she is this feisty, funny & passionate little girl – who loves nothing more than smack-talking during family gaming nights and showing off her dabbing abilities. She coming into her own, perfectly! This last week has been so much fun. I have never seen a child more excited…

Planning a Unicorn Rainbow party

In 2wks time, my youngest daughter, my little Annabelle {who isn’t so little anymore!} will be turning five. FIVE! I’m currently living in a seat of denial and silently wishing {so incredibly hard} that she would slow down this growing up malarky.  I do, however, love planning her birthday parties! I have done a themed birthday party for her every year since her first birthday and her ideas for them just keep getting bigger & better. Of course, I delve into Pinterest for inspiration {who doesn’t?} and even though I have these grand visions of how it will look, they’re never…

Eighteen

I officially have an eighteen-year-old today. Eighteen! I am absolutely dumbfounded where the last eighteen years have gone but here we are. My firstborn has reached his eighteenth year & it’s quite ironic that I fell pregnant with him when I was just eighteen myself – a pretty scary thing to find out when you’re still so young – but it’s something I wanted. Something we wanted. I can remember walking to my local health clinic to have a pregnancy test done and I remember the nurse coming to me after seeing the results and she said: “Congratulations – it’s…

Jacobs 9th Birthday surprise!

Last week my little copper headed boy turned nine. Nine! I don’t know where the last nine years have gone but I do know that he has grown into one of the most endearing, thoughtful, heartbreakingly considerate and loving little boys. He does try to be all tough sometimes and has a go at the huffy pre-tween saga on occasion but he fails miserably because he’s just so damn lovely. Don’t get me wrong though, he can be a little 4ft tall pain in the backside, but he’s still lovely.  Usually, Jacob’s birthday party doesn’t go ahead until after he…

A weekend of birthday celebrations {Ellie turns 12!}

What a weekend! It’s safe to say that we’re all a little bit tired after the last few days. It was full on, super busy but also lots & lots of fun. It all kicked off on Friday, which was my eldest daughter’s birthday. I wrote a blog post called Twelve if you’d like to check that out. We showered her in balloons, confetti, cards and love before she went off to school for the day. Thankfully, Friday was quite relaxing because I was able to prep a little for the party day {on Saturday} and attempt to get our…

Celebrations, cake and turning eight

This week, my youngest son….my little dreamboat turned eight years old. Eight. It’s so hard to believe. He is no longer my little deliriously adorable boy, but an {deliriously adorable} young man who is growing up to know what he loves and wants out of life.  His eighth birthday started with presents {naturally} and this year he asked for four things. He really wanted a Northern Ireland football kit, Christiano Ronaldo VR trainers, Fifa 16′ {which his Dad bought him} & a Gaming chair. As well as the gift opening and testing out his new chair {which consisted of telling us…

Minecraft Birthday Party! {Ellie turns 10!}

My kids love Minecraft, and I mean LOVE Minecraft. It’s a regular gaming staple in their lives and I’d be lying if I hadn’t been lured into the mining world myself {in fact I’m rather proud of my Mountain home with lava fall!}. If you’ve been in a cave underground for the past few years and unaware of what Minecraft actually is, it’s a video game where you can dig for different elements such as iron, copper, coal and build pretty much anything your imagination can come up with. It’s a 3D game and it has loads of different terrains to…
