Brody the Fluffy friend animated dog | Review

Just before Christmas, I received another amazing bundle from Chad Valley – this brand has such a vast range that there really is something for everyone at each age. It’s amazing. My youngest daughter has been busting at the seams for a puppy – like, actually driving me CRAZY for this puppy. “Can I get a puppy, Mama? Pwease!?” which includes the cute, high-pitched voice alongside the puppy dog eyes? I mean, my hands were literally tied {with emotional guilt}

But, in truth, we don’t believe that pets are for Christmas, so the next best thing was when she was surprised with Brody – the Fluffy friend animated dog to play with. Which has to be the next best thing, right? She certainly thought so!

Brody the dog review

Brody the animated dog comes with a brush and two bones. You can feed him by pressing a bone to his mouth – he will make a chewing sound – and when you press his ear he will bark, nod & move his head, wag his tail and walk.

Brody is a lovely size, standing at 36cm tall and he requires 4 x AA batteries which are not included. Annabelle’s first comment was how handsome he was and once we got him out of the box she loved how soft he was to stroke. It was love at first sight!

Now, I have to be honest the ‘bark’ from Brody doesn’t sound like a bark – this is my only sour point about this product. It sounds more like a seagull or something but I guess it’s a small part of this product and it can be overlooked. Everything else makes up for that in spades.

It’s a gorgeous toy, fun & interactive for my daughter and she gets lots of fun from playing with her new fluffy pal, Brody.

Brody the Interactive dog is available from Chad Valley/Argos and RRP for £28.99 – which in my opinion is a fabulous price for an interactive toy such as this.

Disclosure: I was kindly sent this product for the purpose of this review as part of the Chad Valley Play panel campaign. All thoughts, photos and opinions are entirely my own.

  1. Your little girl looks utterly delighted with Brody! I’m not surprised, he really is very cute! My little brother loved Fur Real Friends toys as a kid and constantly pestered my Mum for new ones, so “Can I get one, Mumma, pweeeeese?!” is something that I heard very regularly haha!

    Aw your little girl really loves him, doesn’t she? Any dog that doesn’t involve poo bags is OK by me!

    Oh I bet my kids would love that too – my son is desperate for a dog but I’m not convinced of his ability to look after a real animal, this is a much better idea!
