5 ideas when organising a ladies night!

When I was younger, I was one of those girls that didn’t hang out with other girls. I was a 100% thoroughbred tomboy and I didn’t care what anyone else thought. I loved my checked flannel shirts {even though when I look back on that now, cringes take place!}, I wore my badge covered baseball hat with pride and rather than painting my nails and having my hair done, I was happy shooting air rifles with my Dad & Brother in the back yard.

So when I wrote the title of this post “5 ideas when organising a ladies night”, it’s not a collection of words I ever thought I would be writing. But here I am, mid-thirties and ladies nights have slowly become something for me to enjoy. Shocker, right! Anyways, here’s a few ideas for a ladies night in case you’d like to plan one in the future.

Go out for dinner & drinks. I have recently become one of a little group of Mums at the school gate and it’s super, super lovely to be a part of. Making plans is hard because we’re all busy with, you know, life! But when we manage it, dinner and drinks is usually our go-to thing to do for a ladies night.

Games night. I personally love a good games night and I think board games aren’t given as much love nowadays as they should be given. So grab some snacks {a few bottles of wine even} and choose a few games to play. Choose something fun like Pictionary, a game that will get lots of laughs like Exploding kittens or even going classic and having a game of poker for pennies.

Have a Bingo night. I know plenty of ladies who love going out to Bingo establishments and they have the best time. Some even leave richer than when they went in! 😉 So perhaps opting for a bingo games night would be super fun.

Have a spa evening. Being a parent is hard work. Whether you’re a single one, a working one of one that stays at home. It’s all tiring in equal measure and we all do great jobs. That doesn’t mean to say pampering shouldn’t be made a factor here. So bring the spa to you! Do facials on each other, give nails a polish, the whole 411. It would be fun and think of the relaxation!

Have a girls night IN! You don’t need to go out to have a good time and here’s my perfect recipe for the perfect girls night! Ingredients: Good friends, Alcohol, 4 dashes of gossip, 3 hours of trashy TV and bowls of popcorn and snacks.

What is your idea of a great Ladies night? I’d love to know, so leave me a comment below!
