Where do we live? – An Orchard Toys Review

We were recently sent out a game and a few books from the new range at Orchard toys. We have loved their jigsaws, board games and more for a long time now and one of their latest games for the 3+ range, Where do we live has just been shot into orbit of being the most fun game in the eyes of my 3yr old, yet!

The ‘Where do we live?’ game is all about matching up the animals to the places that the live. Children can develop knowledge of animals around the world, from different habitats and learn about them as they go.

The first thing that I personally loved about this game is that the playing boards are double sided. One side provides the gorgeous illustrations of either the jungle, arctic etc and on the opposite side is a list of facts about the animals and their habitat.

The big colourful illustrations are a huge attraction for Annabelle, more so because her favourite question at the moment is; “What’s that?”, so naturally we got a lot of asking when reading the fun facts on the backs of the playing boards. {we loved this feature on the game!}.

The game box contains all of the animals on your playing boards to help your little ones match them up to the places they live.

After a short explanation, Annabelle was off. Placing animals in their homes from all around the world. I loved her occasional questioning of what this was and what that was. I loved that this game encourages discussion, helps to develop her observational skills and is just an all-round beautiful and educational game. The game cam be purchased for£9.50 from the Orchard Toys website.

Along with the Where do we live game, Orchard toys kindly sent Annabelle out some of the new and very cool sticker colouring in books to try out too.

Annabelle was sent out {as you can see} the Make believe and Animals sticker colouring-in books and these could not be more perfect for her age range.

Orchard toys - Colouring books
Inside there are 24 glorious pages of colouring in to do with a centre fold of stickers to add to your colouring in pages too. Annabelle really enjoyed giving the pirate his peg-leg, or giving a fairy her wings and so on.

The stickers are like everything else orchard toys are famous for, those beautifully bright illustrations were a complete delight to see as stickers. One trick I know to make it easier for toddlers to peel off their own stickers was to remove the sticker backing. Doing this allowed Annabelle to be able to peel off the stickers she needed herself, which of course made her one happy girl.

These colouring in books are just £3.99 each and the range they have goes from ABCs, Numbers, animals and more. They’re great fun and get a huge thumbs up from my 3yr old.

We loved testing out some of the new products from the new range of Orchard toys; I think the Giant Railway will be on Annabelles wish list for later on in the year because that looks epic, especially if you have a train loving toddler like we do! Choo Choo!!

Disclosure: We were sent out these products for the purpose of the review. All thoughts, photos and opinions are my own.
