VQ Christie DAB Radio Review

VQ Christie DAB Radio Review

I love music and recently I was offered the opportunity to review a beautiful DAB radio from VQ.

My VQ has a gorgeous range of DAB radios which meant choosing one to reviewΒ was difficult. In the end, I chose a radio that fitted with our style;Β the vintage design Christie DAB & FM radioΒ with Bluetooth.

It’s small {perfect for our not-so-big kitchen} and it’s rotating LCD display for portrait or landscape orientation is a nifty feature too.Β

Isn’t it gorgeous!Β

The VQ Christie is wrapped in a beautiful leatherette that is available in 11 different colours. It gives this DAB radio such a uniquely vintage feel to it and I am in love with my blue choice. It goes perfectly with its stylish enamel facia, don’t you think?Β

You have access to the full range of digital services across UK & Europe, thanks to the DAB radio, DAB+ and FM reception.

Pairing up the Christie to my Bluetooth was easy, thanks to the simple pairing via Bluetooth for smart devices or connecting with one-touch via NFC.Β

I am in love with this DAB radio. It’s portable, it’s fabulously retro and the range of leatherette colours available is great because there is something to suit everyone’s style.

Now, when I do the housework I love to blast a good playlist – so being able to carry this little DAB radio into whichever room I am cleaning/tidying at the time is a bit of a bonus. Plus? The audio quality is fantastic. I am a metal-head, so I like my music good and loud and the speakers on this little beast do not disappoint.

Also, another bonus feature that I love….and will most likely move this little guy into our bedroom once it’s had its revamp; it can be used as an alarm. An alarm! It has dual alarm functions and a countdown timer with make it the perfect bedside companion.

Do I think the DAB radio is worth the Β£129.99 price tag?

Yes, I do. Don’t get me wrong, it’s way over the cost that I would have paid for a DAB radio post-Christie review. However, since reviewing it I’d say the price tag is perfectly acceptable because it’s a beautiful radio, the retro design fits with most if not all interior styles and the range of what you can listen too is impressive. I’m a complete convert.
