Toddler Treats: Nutella Crossiants!

Happy Friday folks! And being Friday can only mean one thing – Toddler Treats day! And with my fun & tasty Animal Pancakes being last week’s post topic, this week I have been playing with the magic that is puff pastry and the sweet chocolate, hazelnutty taste of Nutella this week to bring you…

Nutella1
Yummy right?

I have never worked with puff pastry before so I was pretty excited to work with it and see how these little darlings came out and as I predicted….they came out beautifully!

All you need is three simple iddy-biddy ingredients:

– Puff pastry
0000000000000000000000000000000000- Nutella
– 1 e0gg {with a tbsp of water to help combi000000ne}

All you need to do is roll out your pastry and cut into long slim triangles, spoon a little nutella onto each one and roll up into a croissant shape place onto a baking tray using a baking sheet and voila!

Lastly before popping your little beauties into the oven {180 degrees} brushed those little darlings with your egg & water then into the oven they go for around 20 minutes.

Once they come out try to refrain yourself from getting tore into these delicious, nutella filled little devils because burning of the tongue will HURT! So let them cool just a little before tasting but believe me, the wait will be worth it!

Scrumptious and want to know a little secret? These are sooooo not just for toddlers! Although giving my little one half the chance, she’d scoff the entire lot and not feel an ounce of guilt! Haha.

I do hope you liked it and decide to have a go at making it yourself. If you do I’d love for you to hashtag #ToddlerTreats over on Twitter and tag me in, I’d love to see your dishes! Also if you missed previous weeks, they can all be found on my Toddler Treats page right here on the blog or you can pop over to my Pinterest board.

See you next week for more yummy treats!!

    These look delicious! I can’t believe they came out so well and you’ve never used puff pastry before! Not that you’re not a fab cook – ha ha! I just mean I thought puff pastry would be really hard to master! Yum! x

    Thats puff pastry added to my shopping list. My son has hated all things bread since being weaned but this week he loved sandwiches and crumpets. He also discovered the joy of Nutella spread on warm crumpets so he would love these.

    This looks delicious. I like working with puff pastry. Only made a dish yesterday with it but I have never made croissants with it so this is definitely on my list now. Thanks for sharing.
