Studio Kids Design Plate review & Giveaway

When you have children, your pretty mugs in the cupboard get replaced but little plastic tumblers, your beautiful crockery gets replaced by piles and piles of different styles of childrens crockery in all shapes and designs. So when I was approached by Studio Kids Design to actually design my own plate for my toddler, I was super keen to get involved.

When over 200 designs to choose from, as well as different themes you are spoilt for choice. You can even upload your own design, and apply it to look perfect on your chosen plate.

The plate I chose for Annabelle was a Dragon, mainly because we love mythical beasties in this house and its a design like no other on all of the other plates she currently has. I also loved that she could get her name on it too – again with so many colours & fonts to choose from!
I was curious about whether the plate would arrive as ceramic or plastic and once it was delivered, I was relived to find it was in fact melamine. Yes! Ceramic is such a no go area with toddlers and children in general! If there anything like my 5yr old then they are clumsy 24/7! So I was very happy with the durability of this plate from the get-go!
As for the design, what’s not to love! How cute is that little cheery Dragon just breathing fire with a smile across her jaws. Perfect! The RRP for your own plate is £13.49 and with the amount of personal touches you can add to each one, it’s so totally worth the cost. In fact it’s a bargain!

I’d have the princess design – the one with the name Poppy on the site. My daughter is a real little princess and would love it.
