It’s only four months until my Wedding day!

It’s just dawned on me how incredibly close it is until our Wedding day. It’s the kind of close that makes you slump back in your chair, breathe out heavily {in that freaked out sort of way} and think….”Oh my God, I’m getting married in four months time!” accompanied by that deer in headlights expression.

Am I on top of my checklist that my adorable Wedding planner informs me of? WHO KNOWS! I hope so! But let me mentally blurb out everything we have in place so far…

Venue…check.
Wedding dress…check.
Bridesmaid dressescheck.
Junior Bridesmaid dresses….check.
Flowergirl dresses...check.
Bridal party gifts?….Getting there!
Groomsmen all suited? Not yet!

Looking at the above makes me realise exactly how much is left to sort out. From getting the Groom & his Groomsmen sorted and suited. I also need to get shoes for all of my Bridal party; including myself! I need more jars for the candy bar, not to mention needing sweets for said candy bar! Ugh….and the list goes on {and on!}.

Not to mention making and sending out our invitations! Which, F.Y.I, I’m completely clueless when is the right time to send them out. Sigh. Organising a Wedding, even one as low key and budgeted as ours is hard work. Another thing? I don’t even know if everything will go together!! I’m literally getting things in when I can, winging it mostly and living in a bubble of hope that it will all look lovely and fabulous on the day.

Although, considering the amount we’ve still to organise we’re leaving a few things out too, for two reasons; {1} Our budget won’t stretch that far and {2} in reality, they’re really not needed.

For starters…Wedding transport! You’re maybe thinking “OMG you cannot NOT have Wedding cars!” and maybe your right, but sadly our budget doesn’t stretch and in reality we can just get a few taxi buses to make the trip. Could you justify paying the guts of £600+ to have a few fancy cars drive you for a total time of 10mins? No, neither can I, so we’re doing without. Simples.

Secondly. We won’t have a photographer. Again, I know, I KNOW….how can we NOT have a Wedding photographer! *gasp* It’s easy! They’re far too expensive for one and two?….our budget doesn’t stretch that far. It sucks, I know, but…at the end of the day I’m going to be marrying my best friend and there will be plenty of people snapping away on their phones and cameras anyway.

So yeah, the countdown is on folks and I really should make myself a proper to-do list as the time is flying towards the day when we’ll say “I do!”.

You sound more organised that I would be at this stage. We have kind of set a date but I haven’t even thought about the planning of it all yet!! I LOVE your delicate birds, so beautiful. Our friends sent out a save the date postcard – maybe you could use that? Look forward to seeing more of your plans.

Wow, sounds like most of your planning is coming to a head! This is so awesome though, documenting this definitely helps to preserve memories. I like the idea of having your guests be the photographers at your wedding! Thanks for sharing!
