My Sunday Photo

My Sunday photo for this photo speaks a thousand words and makes me feel a thousand emotions. My kids lately have been getting a little too much screen time {my bad!} and I had a post go live this morning giving out a few tips how to reduce screen time at home if you need a few ideas.

That’s been our week! Reducing the screen time, whether it be a phone, TV, console or tablet and I have been encouraging the children to get outside before the snow comes and to give their imaginations the chance to take the reins for a while. To go wild, to be kids and not a slave to a screen.
my sunday photoThis was captured at the start of the week. I let the toddler have a little screen time during the ‘getting the older kids sorted for school’ madness…and after that {and a little tantrum} I found her playing in her room no less, with her dolls house. I cannot tell you the emotions I felt. I literally crept in and sat on her bed just watching her. I didn’t care that her bedroom was an absolute tip {because let’s face it, she shares it with a 10yr old girl going on 18!} and I just let myself be consumed in her pretend play.

Have you ever considered having a no screen day?

Cool photo capturing imaginative play at it’s best. Screen time is a difficult one but a little every now and then can work wonders for everyone! #mysundayphoto

I love this, my girls also have a lot of screen time and we’re trying to cut it down. They love playing with their dolls house too

    Thank you for linking up

Debs, good for you and for her. Isn’t it nice when they show you that they are listening? And your reinforcement is actually getting through!!! Great job!
