#LittleLoves; A lego & lush obsession!

Within the last week, my youngest girl has developed a new love. Lego! Not just any lego, and certainly not the chest of it that I have upstairs {which is over 30yrs old}, but, Minecraft lego in particular. Talk about having expensive tastes! So over the last 7 days, Annabelle has spent countless hours at the table building her lego creations. You’ll not find me complaining because anything that can lengthen my girl’s attention span gets approval in my book!

Aside from the lego love; what is it with girl’s and their baths? Granted, some guys love baths too {high five to them!} but in my opinion, a bath isn’t a bath unless it has lush in it. Who else agrees? It’s the copious amount of bubbles, the delicious aromas, the almond butter {hmm, silky, smooth baby bottomed skin!} and of course the fizzy goodness & pretty colours.

And even though I have a delightful collection in the bathroom my girls have now become accustomed to….indulging in my bath bombs & bubble bars. A Mum just can’t have anything for herself, can she? As soon as I mention “bath time!” to Annabelle she immediately asks for a bath bomb, and naturally, like any 3yr old would do; she has to put it in the bath herself.

However, enough of me wittering on, here are my #LittleLoves for this week;

READ: Endless stories of messy monsters, boys who say no and Gruffalo’s. My littlest lady loves squeezing as many stories at bedtime as humanly possible. It’s quite sweet really. I do love it when she snuggles into me as I read to her. I think she knows fine rightly that when she does that Mummy’s quite happy to read her another story. I’m so being played, but she’s cute so I guess that makes it OK.

WATCHED: I am impatiently waiting for all of my favourites TV Shows to restart. Frankly, I think they’re taking an absolute age – so in the meantime I find myself rewatching old favourites; such as The Originals and Scorpion etc. I also cannot wait for the new season of Game of Thrones & Suits. Aside from TV shows, I have started to get back into my movies again and recently watched Bridget Jones Baby. Patrick Dempsy just makes everything better, doesn’t he?

HEARD: Castle on the Hill by Ed Sheeran. My new favourite song hands down!

MADE:
My daughter laugh. Does that count? I’ve been making Annabelle’s party favour cups for her party in a few weeks. Just filling them for now as I still need to get some clear wrap as well as blue and yellow ribbon to finish them off.

WORE: Roller boots! Now, listen…I am well aware that I am turning 37 this June, but that doesn’t mean that I cannot join in on the wheely fun alongside the children. I’m not even ashamed to admit that I have been having an absolute blast zooming around the front rooms of the house since getting them! {I need to work up to going outside on them, it’s been about 25yrs!!}.

I look forward to sharing more #Littleloves with you guys next week.

We got back into Lego, but unfortunately it was so briefly. The Christmas Holidays gave us a week of block building and trying to piece together the kits, that have magically lost 10% of the bits.
Roller boots too! That triggers off so many memories, I have Yellow and Blue roller boots and would travel for miles. I’d like to see them replace Micro Scooters!! (OK maybe not on the school run)

Adult roller scooters would be so much fun! I wouldn’t say no to a few of those myself, lol! xx

We love lego. We have about half of my 30 year old collection. We don’t get it out much yet (my eldest is 3). I can see her wanting minecraft though as her 7 year old cousin plays minecraft and she always wants to do what he does. She loves bedtime stories too and just like yours she’ll try and get as many as she can! I really want to see Bridget Jones. I miss McDreamy in Grey’s anatomy! #littleloves

Yay for Lego! Even if it is expensive Lego, haha. My son is exactly the same as your littlest – he’ll do everything he can to get as many stories as possible. The roller boots look awesome, I’ve never been able to quite get the knack of skating or blading. Hope you had a great weekend! #LittleLoves

I’m sure when I was little I never got as much into the Lego as our girls do. Abigail can play for hours with random bricks. Imogen on the other hand is always building money boxes! Maybe it was more garish when we were younger, only primary coloured plastic bits.
Looks like a nice haul of Lush stuff there. 🙂

I absolutely love those soap jars in the window. What a fabulous idea and looks fantastic too. Oh dear the love for legos. It doesn’t end after it starts. We have legos coming out our ears eeek. Good luck. Hope you are having a nice week. #littleloves

Thanks so much Jenny. I’m just relieved the jars are actually being used for something & not just sitting in a box somewhere! x

Loving the look of those roller boots. I never could get the hang of them myself, it’s the same with ice skating, I just can’t get my balance.
I’m with you on the whole Lush and baths thing, so are my girls. It costs me a fortune! xx
