My Daughters in Summer dresses

I’m the first to admit that dresses weren’t really at the forefront of my mind when I dreamt of dressing my daughters. Not being a dress fan myself, I just never thought of a dress as being a part of their wardrobes. However, as they both got older, they started to develop their own styles and when GANT approached us asking if my girls would like to be gifted a dress each to review, it was pretty cute seeing them say yes.

I decided to go for a matchy-matchy approach {but not quite going down the twinsie route} and I really think the dresses that my girls allowed me to choose for them really compliment each other.

The dress I chose for my older daughter was this beautiful mini-dotted Indigo Shirt dress and when she put it on I swear my girl instantly aged a few years.  She’s a true beauty to me {even though she doesn’t see it herself} but catching her in the below image in a little bubble of a thought, she actually took my breath away.

According to her, the dress felt really comfortable. Not too short and she loved that it had pockets. I am all over a dress that has pockets people! However, if there would be one thing she would change? It would be the sleeves as she found them quite tight, especially when rolled up. But regardless of that minor detail, overall she really loves the dress and has worn it many times since.

The dress I chose for my youngest daughter, who is a feisty and independent little 3yr old, was a gorgeously sleeveless printed boat dress that she just rocks with a messy bun.

My little Annabelle seems to love her dresses more and more each day. She loves to pinch the hem and twirl and clearly loves to imagine herself {and I quote} as a ‘pretty princess’. I know, the cuteness is too much to handle, right? I hear you.

Both of my girls looked so beautiful in their dresses and when we were recently on our annual family holiday I took the opportunity to do a little photoshoot with them in the garden.

Annabelle’s little boat dress is just gorgeous and I think she loves wearing it as much as I love seeing her in it. I think the navy tone really suits her too.

These dresses are just gorgeous and I am just loving everything on the GANT kids range at the moment and even though some of the items are a little over the budget that I would usually spend on the kids. I don’t see any harm in treating them now and again.

Disclosure: We were sent these items for the purpose of the review. All thoughts, photos, and opinions are my own.
