A pink, gold & grey inspired bedroom for my girls

For Christmas this year I decided to give my youngest son a football themed bedroom makeover. But never did I think I’d make the decision to do the same for my girls. My son’s bedroom makeover will be such a simple project to bring to life. A change of curtains, new bedding, some shelves and some wall art. Simple. However, my girl’s bedroom upgrade/makeover will not be so easy.

Perhaps I’m making it harder for myself, thus assuming my girl’s bedroom makeover will be a much harder project. Being a woman, I’m most likely right. 😉 However, shall I share with you the girl’s bedroom makeover plan {and hopes} that I have? {Before I go on, I must share that the struggle was real to talk my preteen down from demanding a black-walled bedroom. She needed a constant reminder that there would be a little Sister in the same room.}

After what seemed like a marathon session of compromising, we finally agreed on a colour theme for the room.

This is just an idea of what I’d like to try to achieve for my new girl’s bedroom. To make it into a place that represents them, a room they can be proud of, make memories in and have sweet dreams in.

The reading nook has me excited the most if I’m honest, but it will be the biggest project to pull-off in the bedroom. Luckily, my Dad is a handyman at heart so he’s on board to give me a hand. I just hope we can pull it off!

The rest of the room is literally a lick of paint, hanging a few shelves, the draping of fairy lights over tall mirrors {is that not the most magical mirror you have EVER seen!} and just adding a touch of wonder and beauty to their new bedroom. So, with the countdown to the big C officially on…I’d best get to it!

    This is amazing. Myself and my husband are wanting to redecorate our little girls room. They are 8 and 4 and we are stuck at what to do. I want to make it look amazing. Can’t wait to see your girls finished room

    I can’t wait to see the transformation. I loved doing up Emmy’s big girls room.
    Good luck though as I remember how stressful it can be
