Target Dry Georgia Womens Waterproof Parka, Review

Winter is upon us people. There’s no point in hiding from it because when looking back to the pitiful summer we had, we need our coats now more than ever. I have been so busy sorting out waterproofs etc for the children lately that I completely forgot about myself as I realised I was doing school runs in the rain wearing just a summer jacket. Oops. But when I was given the opportunity to work with Target on a review, I knew someone was trying to tell me that Mummy needs to stay dry too.

Trying to choose a coat from the Target website to review was a tough job. They have such an amazing range and styles/colours to suit everyone. But when I saw the Georgia Women’s Waterproof Parka, I knew she was the one for me.

This particular Parka comes in the colours military green, purple jewel, Indigo blue {see below image} & Beetroot red and it‘s available in sizes UK 8 up to UK 20.
I’ve lost a lot of weight lately and recently went down to a size 16, so when ordering this parka I decided to be brave and opt for smaller size I’m usually used to. When it arrived I was so excited to see that it fit perfectly and still left me room if I decided to wear a wooly jumper underneath for when the Winter really sets in.

Target Parka Review
This Parka is actually the Winter version {3/4 length} of Target Drys highly popular Emily parka. I don’t think you can be without a 3/4 jacket when the cold and wet months set in.

The quality of this parka is next to none, and I felt that as soon as I put it on. The lightweight insulation layer makes you feel warm {but not to warm!} and that’s all down to the parka having a 100% breathable outer layer.  As well as being breathable, this Georgia parka is 100% waterproof and I don’t know about you, but I love the idea of staying dry when doing the school run! {Forgive the low-quality image below. They really should make secondary phone cameras higher than 2MP!}.

Target Parka Review 2
My first test of this parka was having to pop to the shops in the pouring rain {would you expect any other kind of weather from Northern Ireland?}, and I was really impressed how warm I felt in the cold winds and how the waterproof-ness of the coat stood up against the elements. It passed with flying colours and I didn’t doubt it would for a second.

One issue I’ve seen with a lot of coats lately is the hood not being a good hood, does that make sense? For example, if your hair it up in a ponytail the hood won’t go right over your head to keep you dry. This one does! For me at least and I love that!! The snug faux fur trim is also detachable!

This parka really has everything you need in a great coat. From adjustable waist & hem {love that!}, two large front pockets {including two chest pockets – perfect for your mobile phone I’ve found!}, its quilt lining is lovely and even it’s two-way front zip.

This for me is an amazing coat and lots of the Mums during the school run have even complimented it, so it has style factor too. You can find all you need to know about the Target Dry Georgia Women’s Waterproof Parka here. It is usually priced at £74.99, however, Target Dry have a great discount on and you can currently get it for £54.95!

You can even find Target Dry on Facebook & Twitter too.

Looks lovely and warm. I like the style of it too, although I think I would have to remove the fur. It looks nice but I know if I had the hood up it would irritate the life out of me! Thanks for hosting the #MMWBH
