Cavehill Adventure Park Part two

Last week the sun shone so beautifully from 6am and the temperature just kept rising. By 10am it was 15 degrees and glorious! So we had to go out! You may have read Part 1 of this day out saga, if not, you can read it here. But on the second half of our outing, we went for a walk around the Castle & Gardens of Belfast Castle.

Belfast Castle is just a stones throw away from the Cavehill Adventure Playground and it has the most gloriously beautiful gardens. Especially on a beautiful sunny day.

The kids love trying to find all of the cats, hidden around the Castle gardens. We’ve never found all nine though! Always been one that’s eluded us!

Annabelle was fascinated by these hedges. She’d just stand there looking intrigued as she shoved her hands straight in. No fear! Was so fun to watch.

We had some drinks and even ordered some lunch – it was scrummy!

Oh looky! Kitty cat paw prints were sprinkled around the gardens too.

This is such a great place to visit and the few hours we did spend there, playing in the adventure playground, walking around the Castle and its beautiful gardens, there are also acres of forest to walk round too. I think we’ll do some walking and adventuring next time and bring the papoose for good measure!

The cat hunt idea is fabulous, but that ninth cat seems to elude everyone, lol. We’ll find it one day! 😉 Sligo, honestly? No idea if its near or not, lol! Maybe one day you’ll make it over here! 🙂 x
