A Caketoppers review

Recently I was approached to see if I would like to review some photo cupcakes from Caketoppers. I mean, come on.…what woman wouldn’t want to taste test some scrumptious cupcakes huh? So naturally, I said yes! If I didn’t I think my kids would have drop kicked me in my sleep.

Once they were delivered {undamaged may I add} they made for a great after school treat once the kids got home from their day of fun & learning.

Caketoppers review
I remember leaving it up to the Caketoppers team to what personalised photo they would add to the tops of our cupcakes and I have to say, I was super happy with the photo they chose. The photo was a recent picture of my two daughters having dinner alfresco style out in the garden. So it was a super cute choice {Thanks for that Caketoppers!}. Plus, the kids thought it was super fun being able to see themselves on top of a cupcake.

As for the quality of the image on the cupcake, as you can see, it’s not the greatest. But then I thought…the image was taken from Instagram {or at least, I’m assuming it was} which isn’t the biggest of resolution, to begin with, {around 612px by 612px}. So I guess in theory if you provided them with a higher resolution photo, the better it would come out. But then, it is being printed onto icing, so who knows. Either way, I think they make a super cute & fun addition to any party table.

Now, for the sponge! All I can say is DE-licious! I love a good light & fluffy cupcake and these did not disappoint, my 2 personalized cupcakes {greedy guts, I know} went down a complete treat over a cup of tea. 😉 The box of 6 we were sent were mixed flavours, so they included chocolate & classic sponge cupcakes.

Caketoppers review
A box of 6 photo cupcakes from Caketoppers will cost you £12.99 with an added delivery charge of £5.95. They do offer batches of cupcakes of up to 60 cupcakes with a range of topper choices and flavours.

Disclosure: We were gifted a box of 6 photo cupcakes from Caketoppers for the purpose of this review. All thoughts, photos and opinions are my own.

Delighted you enjoyed the cupcakes Deborah and I just wanted to confirm that the printed image quality is restricted only by the quality of the original image, so with higher resolution original photos you get a higher quality print! Take a look at our Gallery page to see some examples of high resolution printing we’ve performed for cakes of all sizes here: https://www.caketoppers.co.uk/Gallery 🙂

I thought as much, regarding the image! I did mention that in the review; depending on the resolution of the image would determine the quality of the image on the cupcake.
